On Going Green

Going GreenAs many of you may know, I have been on a journey to change the way I live.  Pop culture calls it “going green,” but for me it’s much more than a fad.  God has given us stewardship over creation, and it is our responsibility to care for it and nurture it. As a wife and someday mom, I also feel a strong call to care for my family in the best, safest, and healthiest way I can.

For me, this journey towards going green has meant a lot of research and a lot of reading.  The web is full of urban legends and “green myths,” and retailers have been quick to jump on the Green Bandwagon, offering products toting the words “all natural.”  I’ve been sorting through all of this for several months in my attempt to make positive changes in the way I manage my household and take care of my family that will also reflect my values as someone who cares for the planet entrusted to us.

On the following pages you’ll find my best recommendations and the best resources I have found.  I hope they are helpful to you.  And, if you have any great tips or resources you’d like to share, I’d love to hear them!  I am always open to new ideas and ways of doing things.
